Deathfire Grasp
If you played League of Legends back in the day, you already know what this item was about. Deathfire Grasp was the kind of item that made you go “yeah, this shouldn’t be in the game.”

The whole thing was the active. You pressed it first, chunk like 15% of someone’s HP instantly, and then dump your combo while they’re taking increased magic damage. If you were even a bit ahead, that target was just dead. No real chance to react unless they had flash and insane reflexes.

Some champs abused it way harder than others. LeBlanc was probably the worst offender. DFG + full combo and you’re gone before you even process what happened. Same with Veigar, he was already overkilling people, DFG just made it even more stupid.
What made it really annoying was that it scaled with you. The more AP you had, the harder it hit, and then it boosted the rest of your damage on top. So once you got ahead, it just snowballed out of control. You didn’t outplay people, you just deleted them faster than they could play.

It basically turned AP mages into point-and-click nukes. If you were playing a squishy without MR, you were just hoping they mess up. Most of the time, they didn’t.
No surprise Riot Games removed it. Fun to use, yeah, but playing against it? Not really.
